East West Regional Trail

Ah yeah, this is the type of trail the gravel bike was built for! Douglas County has been building an extensive gravel / beginner mountain biking trail system on the hills south of C-470. I decided to take a closer look this past Mother's Day, and was not disappointed. The path is well maintained, and the winding, even descent makes for a breezy, fun run through the high desert.

Not featured in this video is the 11% grade hill climb up to the bluffs because it's probably not entertaining to watch from the handlebars as I dismount and hoof it, breathless up the hill. All in all this route was around 26 miles past fancy suburban homes, brambles, and Gamble Oaks that dot the Highlands Ranch / Centennial area. Enjoy!
